About

We are a family of 5 who love the Lord and love dachshunds! We enjoy living in the Texas hill country where our home rests on 2 acres & is nestled amongst big live oak trees. We enjoy swimming in our creek when the weather is warm and the water is flowing, where our kids have discovered many of God's awesome creatures from perch & turtle nests, water mocassins, bass, catfish, and more minnows than ANYONE can count! How soothing it is to take a quiet, serene canoe ride as the sun rises to thank God for our day and to enjoy the stillness of the morning.

Our family has experienced the joy of birthing baby animals for the last 10 years. Our kids have assisted in and witnessed the birth of show goats & rabbits, baby chicks, kittens, and puppies! Each time it has been an opportunity to be amazed at new life, ever so precious and priceless. We thank God for these many opportunities.

We homeschooled our kids for 8 years from the time our oldest son was 6th grade. He is now 23, is a college graduate & is currently pursuing grad work at Seminary! Our second son, 20, is married with a new baby & serves our country in the U.S. Army. Last child home is our daughter Bekka,17, she is a cheerleader as a "flyer" in her stunt group, competed at the 2010 National Cheer Competition through FCC (Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders) held in Orlando, Florida! Bekka also has loved playing her piano since age 5, was invited last summer to attend the Piano Music Fest at Abilene Christian University, & has received a Superior #1 rating at the 2009 TAPPS State Piano Competition. She is the true animal lover in our family! She has experienced numerous hands-on health concerns from bandaging little chicken wings with twigs & yarn, observing baby chicks hatch, timing the labor of kittens & goats, to assisting our goats' deliveries, both naturally & by C-section alongside her favorite personal vet (and Uncle). But, her passion remains her puppies. She is learning so much about being a doxy breeder. When she is older, she will begin showing her doxies in the AKC Show Ring. We are very proud of her! I know her future includes many more animals, for she has plenty of love for them all.

My husband and I enjoy our kids as we sit back and watch them grow in every way. We are truly ever so thankful for God's many blessings in which he continues to shower us daily. Please enjoy the photos that touches only the tip of our fun family experiences!

We're a team & very close!

My mom & dad went on an 11-day Alaskan cruise for their 24th wedding anniversay in July-August 2008! Here my dad caught a 7lb pink salmon in Juneau, Alaska! They had a blast!
